Kelly Woxland from Rainbow Orchards

RAINBOW ORCHARDS is located just off Highway 50 in Camino just outside Placerville in an area known commonly as "Apple Hill". Operated by West and Sage Betty for over twenty years, Rainbow Orchards includes a retail Bakery, as well as cold storage, presses and bottling equipment. Each summer, they host a fundraising concert in amongst the trees. They grow about a dozen different varieties of apples...the most popular of which are Fujis and Pink Ladies. A big part of their business is their apple cider which they press each Friday with no added sugar or water.

Kelly has been staffing the Rainbow Orchards booth at the Grand Lake Market for nearly six years and is frequently assisted by her fiance, Saul. During the busy summer months, Rainbow sells at as many as twenty different markets during the course of a week and, in addition to apples and cider, offers peaches, nectarines, blueberries, pears, jams and jellies.
