Malik Ranch is located in Hickman which is just outside Fresno. Their booth at the Grand Lake Farmers' Market is typically staffed by Snow Louie whose husband and son and business partner, Ghaus Malik operate the farm with the assistance of another four employees. The Louie's have been in Hickman for five years and farmed in Gilroy for another fifteen years before that.
They grow and sell fresh fruit and a wide variety of dried fruits including nectarines, peaches and apricots. The majority of their business is, however, nuts -- walnuts, pistachios and especially almonds in ten different flavors. The almonds are roasted and seasoned at a shop in Woodland with Malik Ranch's own unique recipes.
In addition to the Grand Lake Market, Malik Ranch sells at ten different markets during the summer including Noe Valley in San Francisco and one in San Mateo.
