La Fleur de Lyon was born in 2002 as the brainchild of Chef/Owner Guy Birenbaum. Years ago, Guy apprenticed with Paul Bocuse, the father of French Nouvelle Cuisine and he has been turning out delectable foods ever since in one capacity or another. At the Grand Lake Market, he offers a wide variety of vegetable brioche and Gallete packaged to go or warmed up and ready to eat. All the ingredients are fresh and Guy is particularly proud of his crusts which are unusually buttery and flaky.

Guy is now selling at the Sunday Market in Montclair as well and his brioche is also available at Berkeley Bowl and The Junket in El Cerrito.
