Billal Sidiq's East & West is based in Concord where his mother prepares a delicious array of authentic flat breads, pestos, curries and hummus from her native Afghanistan. We sampled the Bolani, a flat bread with a spinach core and the hummus was equally delicious. Billal also highly recommends the egg plant spread which is roasted over a wood fire. Although East & West has only been in business for three years, they have already expanded to some thirty Farmers Markets -- their only outlets.
